Veliko Hristo Velikov (Vich) was born in Bulgaria. At the age of 4 he was selected to join a specialist sports school where he was trained as a gymnast under the communist regime and was later selected to join the junior national team. At 14 he was scouted by the world famous “Kovatchovi” acrobatic troupe, so left school and Bulgaria to join the world of Cirque. He toured the world for many years as principle acrobat in “Kovatchovi’s” spring board act, though eventual returned to Bulgaria to complete his National Service. Vicho’s talents eventual brought him to the UK where he performed many acts, Spring Board, Russian Swing, Handstand, and Aerial Straps. He was also asked joined a stunt agency and performed in many shows with the “Acromaniacs”, including “Aladdin” at the Swansea Grand, and “Peter Pan” at the Opera House, Northampton. After meeting his wife in 2003 the pair worked together as guest entertainers for many cruise lines, touring the world performing their own two man acrobatic show called “Journey”. Produced, designed, directed and choreographed by the pair. A career highlight for Vich was performing his handstand act at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games in front of 40,000 people!!!!
