I am Jeanette Taylor, I have been a primary school teacher for 22 years and have a BA (Hons) in Education and Religious Studies.
I have taught in a variety of primary schools, from inner city South London and Hull to a tiny village school in Kirmington, North Lincolnshire. For a number of years, I have been a member of senior leadership teams with a specific responsibility for Literacy. This role has involved being in charge of the Literacy budget and deciding how best to use this money to take the learning on of all the children from 3-11, as well as targeted groups and specific individuals. The budgets I have had depended on the size of the school, from several thousand pounds at my current school (a 620-pupil primary in Scunthorpe) to just a thousand pounds in a tiny village school.
I have also been Literacy Advisor for the Local Education Authority with responsibility for raising standards in literacy across all Primary Schools in North Lincolnshire. Recently I have taken a secondment to develop the initial teacher training programme in North Lincolnshire. I have the responsibility for organising the central training the trainees receive over the year as well as being a tutor to a number of students, guiding them on how to develop their practice in order to achieve qualified teacher status. I am also supporting them in writing their assignments at Masters Level.
With the skill and expertise, I have gained over the years I feel I can offer a lot of advice, support and guidance to Allegro Gymnastic Academy not only with office work but with the children and parents as well. I am excellent in communication and this will be of great importance to the club to retain our links with our members and with the local community, my in depth knowledge of religions will serve the club well.
